COMMITTEES

Much of the work COP does is organized at the committee level. We currently have four active committees. Check our events page to see when we are meeting or email board@citizensofpigtown.com to learn how to participate.

Committees Anchor

Community Engagement & Communications
 

This committee is primarily responsible for managing social media, the newsletter, and events. We plan events ranging from neighborhood  holiday celebrations, movies in the Park, and Greening / Cleaning / Planting events. All are welcome to join this committee to increase programming and awareness of COP.

Meets every 4th Sunday of the month at FLOCK at 12:00PM EST.

Board Operations Governance & Oversight

This committee is focused on strengthening the COP organization, setting COP policies to create a fair and safe environment for all of Pigtown residents to participate.

Meets every 4th Sunday of the month at Mystique Brewery at 1:00PM EST.

Community Planning & Beautification
 

The Community Planning and Beautification Committee aims to enhance public spaces through urban planning, landscaping, and public art. Members collaborate with local government, businesses, and residents to create a cleaner, more attractive, and welcoming community.

Meets the last Thursday of the month via Zoom at 7:30PM EST. Calendar invitation is HERE.

Neighborhood Safety & City Action
 

This committee is focused on improving neighborhood safety through collaboration with neighbors, local neighborhood businesses & city agencies.​
